ZINE101
*Zine101 is now finished, but we'll still be hosting the classes on this site, so feel free to check them out!*
How it works
Zine101 is an online course run by Wellington Zinefest. The course is designed to introduce people to some of the bigger areas of zinemaking. It's by no means a comprehensive course, but just a taster to help you learn more about the subculture of zines.
Zine101 is free, and there's no registration required. Nothing is mandatory in Zine101 - you can watch as little or as much as you like, you can do your assignments, or you can just wag and go to the dairy (like we did in school).
Classes
In the gallery above on this page you'll find links to each class. Once the class is published, it'll show up here.
We'll be posting each class in the afternoon, but you can watch in your own time, at your leisure. The classes aren't sequential, and nothing's mandatory - you can pick and chose which tutorials you wanna watch, and when.
Assignments
Each tutor has given you assignments for each class, which will be outlined on each class' tutorial page.
These range from fairly big tasks, like creating a zine, to more casual projects like visiting a zine store.
COURSE OUTLINE
Zine101 is possible thanks to the support of Wellington City Council, Victoria University and Creative New Zealand.
