We're going back to basics in 2023 with a Zines Only mid-year market this May. All are welcome to come check out the thriving zine scene in Te Whanganui-a-Tara.
You'll find us in the Atrium of Victoria University's Te Aro Campus. There's room for sixty different stalls all dedicated to the art of zinemaking.
Our markets are free to attend and no registration is required - just turn up on the day. We encourage you to bring cash and great vibes <3
STALLHOLDERS
We're full up! All our stalls are booked.
To go on the waitlist, email us at wellingtonzinefest@gmail.com
For info on what to expect as a stallholder, check out out Stallholders page.

POSTER
The poster for this market is designed by cool friend Vincent Konrad. It's double sided - it's also a zine!
If you wanna help us promo you can download and print a copy below.
VENUE
We're happy to be returning to the atrium of the Te Aro Campus of Victoria University of Wellington Te Herenga Waka.
The venue is at 139 Vivian Street, Te Aro, Wellington.
ZINES ONLY
Wellington Zinefest's annual mid-year market returns in 2023 with a brand-new theme: Zines Only.
For this particular market, we're asking stallholders to exclusively sell or trade zines - no other items allowed.
These themes are a way of experimenting with the market format and keeping things new and interesting. For example, our 2021 Winter Zine Market has a $5 Price Limit for all items. In 2020 we ran Newbies Market, which was only open to new or first-time stallholders.
These themes aren't permanent changes, and are only intended for individual markets.
For more info on the Zines Only theme including why we picked it and what counts as a zine, head to the Zines Only page:
ACCESSIBILITY
The market will open to the public with 'accessibility hour', which runs from 11am - 12pm.
This is a chance for any visitors who, for whatever reason, can't attend when our markets are crowded. We'll have no music and try to maintain a low-stimulation environment.
COMMUNITY TABLE
The Community Table is a free stall where one of our volunteers will sell other people's zines on their behalf. Generally this is for people who can't, or don't want to, sell their zines themselves. Zinemakers can submit their zines to sell on this stall.
You'll need to get copies of your zines to us and tell us how much you'd like to sell them for.
You can find more details on how it works on the registration form.
